Bachelor of Science and Integrated Master of Art in law programs
1. General rules
As part of the study support program aimed at its students, Bocconi University provides for those enrolled in the first year of Bsc and Master of art in Law programs a possible reduction in the ordinary contribution, based on the economic-patrimonial condition of the family.
The student, following the completion of the enrollment and considering the admission session, can submit a specific application, in order to benefit from a total or partial reduction in the payment of university tuition and fees, with methods and timing defined by the university.
However, if during the academic career, the economic-financial situation undergoes a significant change due, for example, to bereavement, the loss of a job of one or both parents, a serious illness that affects the student or his/her parents or the occurrence of another traumatic event (earthquake, etc.), the student can contact the Fees, Funding and Housing office which will try to find, together with the family, the best possible solution in the form of an exceptional exemption.
The exceptional exemption, when granted, may consist of a variable percentage of partial exemption applied to university tuition and fees and may range from a minimum of 20% to a maximum of 60%.
The exceptional exemption, however, does not apply to students who fall within the parameters for the ISU Bocconi Scholarship, which must instead be requested exclusively within the times and methods foreseen and published and which, for the years following the first, also brings with it the total exemption from university tuition and fees as defined by the regulations set out in the ISU Bocconi Scholarship Application requirements and Regulation.
In any case, any exceptional exemption assigned will not be cumulative with other forms of assistance offered by Bocconi University.
2. Deadline and method
The application for exceptional exemption must be submitted through the MyApplication portal and any requests can be submitted by and no later than September 20, 2025.
The access to the online application will be permitted only after contacting the Fees Funding and Housing office, which will verify compliance with the required requirements.
Students who intend to submit a request must send an email and indicate in the subject heading “Exceptional partial exemption application a.y. 2025-26”
3. Submission requirement
The application may be submitted provided that a serious and unforeseeable circumstance has caused a significant economic-patrimonial change compared to the previous situation, by one or more members of the Bocconi Conventional Household, to be certified with specific fiscal and/or medical and/or supplementary documentation.
It is also specified that applications submitted when one of the following cases occurs (list of examples and not exhaustive) may be evaluated.
Cases other than the previous ones will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the Office.
- Parent’s death;
- Severe health issues of the student or parent;
- Loss of job due of dismissal of one or more members of the family unit;
- Flood or earthquake affecting the place of residence.
