The 1st Round is the first admission round reserved for Bocconi students/graduates applying for the Master of Science programs. Bocconi applicants should meet specific entry requirements and are evaluated based on specific selection elements.
Entry requirements
The 1st Round is open to all Bocconi students/graduates who have at least 90 credits registered in the study plan by July 31st, 2024 (regardless of the GPA).
Places available
The admissions ranking is created only if the number of applications exceeds 60% of available spots, and only for the program(s) that exceed this limit. This means that applicants will be admitted if the total number of applications received for their first choice program is lower than 60% of available places. If the number of applications exceeds 60% of available spots, an admissions ranking will be created and available spots will be assigned based on the ranking.
Selection criteria
In the 1st Round, the element of evaluation is your academic career on 31 July 2024 (GPA and credits).
You can apply for this admission round if you meet the abovementioned requirements.
For the calculation of your weighted average, exams divided into modules are considered separately. For this reason, the weighted average taken into consideration might be slightly different compared to the one shown on "Punto Blu.
Educational activities (exams) with grades expressed in thirtieths registered in the study plan by 31 July 2024 are considered.
CV/Resume and motivational letter are not considered in the evaluation for Bocconi candidates. However, certain programs (such as Finance Global Experience, IM Global Experience, Artificial Intelligence, Transformative Sustainability, Cyber Risk Strategy and Governance) require these documents. If you have selected one or more of the aforementioned programs, you should prepare a single motivation letter, dedicating one paragraph to each program. You can address it to the Director of your first-choice program or more generally to the University. The letter should not exceed two pages in length.
Additionally, if you are interested in Special Programs, you will be asked to upload extra documents.
Deadline: any educational activity, internship, language certifications, etc. will be considered only if you have it registered by and no later than July 2024. Check your career and request the registration/conversion well in advance!
"In corso" student
The status of "in corso" student for admission to the Master of Science programs does not necessarily coincide with the student’s status of “in corso” as defined by the administrative enrollment procedures for Bachelor of Science students (check the dedicated article).
Please note: you will not be notified if you will meet the entry requirements. At the end of the online application period, the Admissions Office will verify that everyone who applied, has actually met the requirements.
